Trend Micro House Call By Reginald Givhan of Incidental Treasures, LLC Who Says Doctors Don't Make House Calls Anymore! I use Norton AntiVirus on my personal computer. I perform a monthly virus scan as part of my routine maintenance plan of scanning, disk defragmentation, etc. However, I also perform a quarterly external scan just to make sure that something hasn't gone undetected. The tool I use is available on-line from a company called Trend Micro. For those of you who are unfamiliar with Trend Micro, it’s the company that distributes the program PC-Cillin (now known as Trend Micro AntiVirus + AntiSpyware). To use the tool you simply surf to the Trend Micro website at http://housecall.trendmicro.com/ and click on the link "Click here for FREE Scan!" The system requirements for using the tool are available on this page along with the features of the tool. Scans generally take about 30-45 minutes depending on your computer's speed and the amount of data on your hard drive. It’s a great tool and best of all it’s FREE. I recommend it to all my friends. It's one of the few times where getting a second opinion won't cost you a dime!
